The Hand Painted Furniture Company are specialists in professional furniture painting who expertly restore and hand paint antique, vintage, modern stand alone pieces as well as fitted kitchen, bedroom, bathroom cabinetry, entertainment units and all other joinery items in a range of stunning and unique styles and finishes from traditional to the contemporary. We welcome commissions to paint our clients’ own furniture, either in situ or at our workroom. We can also source furniture on behalf of clients.

We take enormous pride in lovingly and sympathetically restoring each piece to create stunning timeless works of art, each with its own unique identity. No two pieces of our furniture are ever the same (unless a client requests it!)

All of our furniture is hand painted using only the finest quality environmentally friendly paints. Wherever necessary, the furniture is repaired, before being primed and painted and then sealed with superior waxes or varnishes or special finishes.

My name is Julieanne; I am a qualified interior designer and a life-long creative, passionate about hand painted furniture and interior Design. I love the process of creating a new look with a piece of the past. Knowing its transformation has given it a new lease of life and one less item sent to landfill gives me great joy and satisfaction.
I have a studio warehouse in Brookvale where all the magic happens, and offer a pick-up and delivery service which provides less stress and disruption to your home. However if you have a large piece that cannot be moved, we can paint on-site and ensure we will provide appropriate protection and preventative measures with drop sheets and covers, so not to make a mess.
I also have a very small range of my own completed pieces for sale, carefully selected from various sources across Sydney and beyond. I focus on the workmanship, character and charm of each piece. Every piece, whether it is a slight imperfection, ding or scratch makes up its personality and helps to tell a story…viewing by appointment.
